THE LIFE OF IAIN

THE LIFE OF IAIN

Fed up of cooking and the kitchen? Let this man feed you for a while.

Iain Flynn is a national award winner and
his company, http://www.flynnskitchen.ie Flynn’s Kitchen, has a range of delicious stuff.

Let’s start with the soups. I have enjoyed a few of them recently. My favourite is perhaps the Roast Butternut and Sweet Potato Soup but you may also try: Chestnut Mushroom, Spiced Carrot, Roast Carrot and Parsnip, Courgette and Parmesan, and Red Lentil Soup, all at €3.00.

His pates are also very popular but you need to keep an eye on Iain as his range doesn’t stand still. Iain (rhymes with Ryan) does really lovely crab cakes and they don't show on any list, yet. Then there are loads of jams and preserves, including mint jelly and a sweet Tomato Chutney.

And he also makes ready made meals. Cully and Sully recommended the Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni to me recently and I tried it and was delighted that I did. You get a decent sized portion for a fiver or so and, even without any side dish, this is enough to feed you, in a most delightful way. Scrumptious and filling.

And that means I’ll be looking out for his other ready-mades which include Vegetarian Moussaka , Roast Vegetable Curry and  a Sweet Potato and Parsnip Gratin.

Flynn’s Kitchen products are on sale at number of retail outlets and at local markets including Mahon, Kinsale and Douglas.
