There was a great turnout at the new Foodhall on Patrick Street for Friday's Business Networking Breakfast.

Kate Lawlor, Head chef at O’Connell’s Fishmongers, did a cooking demo, while Donal

Skehan (Dunnes Stores Ambassador) spoke on sustainability, ahead of the panel discussion on Food Sustainability, Kate Ryan of Flavour.ie was MC and the event featured

  • Ailis Crowley from FASH Forward, who gave practical insights for reducing food waste in business
  • Maria Young from Green Spaces Cork on the impact of community gardens and growing local
  • Virginia O’Gara from My Goodness / Cork Urban Soil Project on circular food systems and composting
  • Pat Whelan, on Sustainability in Food Production and Retail (plus a little hint of a new addition to the Food Hall)
  • Diarmuid Gavin on sustainability and composting. Diarmuid is an Irish Garden Designer & Creator of Dunnes Stores "Outer Spaces"
