Roger Ravoire Wine dinner at Donnybrook Fair

Olivier Ravoire (above) from Roger Ravoire will host a wine dinner on Wednesday 19th October at 7.45pm in The Restaurant @ Donnybrook Fair. Olivier will introduce a selection of wines from his family’s winery located in the heart of the
Luberon region at the crossroads of the Rhone Valley and Provence. The wines featured on the night will be paired with a delicious four course menu, specially designed for the occasion. The evening is priced at €60 per person / €100 for two.

Born into a family with a long winemaking tradition, Roger Ravoire (Olivier’s father) used his twenty years of wine experience to open his own Maison du Vin in the 1980s. Through Roger’s efforts, his vineyard has become a recognised name region and in particular, for its skilful selection and blending. In 2003, his son Olivier joined the team and together they continue to share their passion for wine making.

New Wine Education Events in Donnybrook Fair!

We’re delighted to announce two new opportunities for learning more about the world of wine at Donnybrook Fair with the introduction of a new monthly wine club and an 8 week wine course.

A new DF Wine Club commences on Thursday 6th October at 7.45pm and will take place on the first Thursday of each month. Each month a different theme will be explored and attendees will taste 6-8 wines each evening.

The DF Wine course “Exploring Wine” commences on Tuesday 18th October and takes place each Tuesday from 7-9.30pm for eight weeks. This new 8-part course is ideal as an introduction or for those building on a basic understanding of wine. Learn about the different grape varieties, countries of origin and the process of wine making. The last night of the course includes a practical food and wine matching with a tasting menu dinner in the Restaurant @ DF. Cost is €295.

The club and the course will both be tutored by Kevin Summons-Walsh, WSET Diploma (Hons) who has recently joined the Wine Team at Donnybrook Fair. Kevin has over 15 years experience in the wine trade and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to DF.
