Searsons at Bresson, with Domaine Tollot-Beaut
Monkstown wine + dine collaboration starts on a high note!
Searsons Wine Merchants are delighted to be hosting their first ever wine dinner in conjunction with their neighbours, Bresson. And to make it more eventful yet, Nathalie Tollot, head winemaker at Tollot-Beaut, will be over to present the wines. “Perhaps the best-known wine domaine of Chorey is Domaine Tollot-Beaut, currently run by the energetic Nathalie Tollot” says Jancis Robinson.
Tollot-Beaut is a most reliable source of delicious wines that seem to get better as the years go by. Beautifully open in style, with rich, generous fruit flavours and judicious use of new oak, these are poised wines with great depth and elegance and are among the most consistent in Burgundy. One of the first properties to Domaine bottle their wine in the early 1920s, it is run today by Nathalie Tollot and her extended family.
Nathalie has hand-picked 6 of her favourite wines to share on the evening, and these include: Bourgogne Chardonnay 2017; Chorey-lès-Beaune Pièce du Chapitre 2017; Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Champ Chevrey 2014 (in magnum); Aloxe-Corton 2015; Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru 2010; Corton Grand Cru 2010.
Searsons have carefully constructed the menu with head chef Temple Garner, and this is designed to show these wines to their best. Temple’s spring season menus maintain the ethos of delivering the highest quality Irish and European produce cooked to Bresson’s classically simple approach to fine dining.
