The Festival of Prosecco 2019

We are delighted to announce the inaugural year of The Festival of Prosecco in association with Tindal Wine Merchants, hosted across The Metropole Hotel, Cork International Hotel and Cork Airport Hotel throughout the month of May.
The Metropole Hotel will host the Prosecco Supper Club on Friday May 24th 2019
Indulge in a bespoke 4 course meal with carefully prepared glasses of the finest Prosecco introduced by Elena Brugnera winemaker from the prestigious Perlage vineyard, Italy's first Organic sparkling winery. Finished with tea/coffee and petit fours.
The tasting will include the following:
  • Soraloc Prosecco Frizzante
  • Sgajo Prosecco Spumante DOC extra dry
  • Canah Prosecco superiore DOCG brut
  • Col di Manza Prosecco superiore DOCG extra dry
Guests will be greeted to a sparkling reception at 7:30pm, dinner bell will chime at 8pm where you will be welcomed into the stunning new restaurant The Met, at The Metropole Hotel.

Prosecco Cocktail Masterclass
Discover the secret to making the perfect cocktail.
Learn how to craft the perfect prosecco cocktail in our decadent Tea Room at The Metropole Hotel. This fun and interactive masterclass will be hosted by two of our inhouse mixologists using the finest ingredients and featuring Perlage Prosecco throughout.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass of Perlage Prosecco while our mixologists share their tips and tricks to creating the finest cocktails.
Our team will then teach you how to make four unique cocktails each containing Perlage Prosecco. Everyone will then have a chance to put their newly honed skills to the test creating cocktails for the group.

Bakewell Fizz
Kirsch soaked cherry, dash of Kirsch Liqueur, Topped with One-part Disaronno, Blueberries, sprig of rosemary, topped with prosecco
French 77 Prosecco
One-part elderflower cordial, one-part lemon juice, one-part gin, Top with prosecco Mint leaf, Lemon Twist for Garnish
MacCurtain Sweet
Our in house made prosecco & mandarin cordial is a sweet and buttery blend of prosecco & baby mandarins, stirred with grain vodka, fresh lime juice topped with soda water and grenadine.
Clarity
Whole milk is combined with gin, port and oleo saccharum and filtered over time, once again stirred with gin, topped with soda, prosecco garnished with a sage leaf.
Located in the decadent Tea Room at The MET in the Metropole Hotel Cork, this is truly a fabulous evening not to be missed.
