NATIONAL AWARDS SINGLE OUT THE MONTENOTTE HOTEL AS THE HOTEL BAR OF YEAR
Panorama Bistro & Terrace Scoops National Hotel Bar of the Year Award 2019
From over 500 entries from around Ireland, The Montenotte Hotel in Cork has won the Best Hotel Bar in Ireland Award 2019 for its unique Panorama Bistro and Terrace. With stunning views over Cork city, the Panorama Bistro and Terrace has become a destination in its own right for visitors from near and far, and is a popular spot in all seasons.
The Hotel Bar of the Year Award was presented to the Montenotte Hotel General Manager Brian Bowler at a gala awards ceremony in Dublin, hosted by Newstalk’s Tom Dunne for Licensing World Ireland.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, General Manager at the Montenotte Hotel, Brian Bowler said, “Each year we continue to innovate, and add something fresh and unique to guests at the Montenotte. This summer we launched our new Sculpture Exhibition in the sunken Victorian Gardens, and opened our Vintage Citroen Drinks Van on the Rooftop Terrace. We have also revamped the Panorama Bistro with the inclusion of new booths in rich leather for people to enjoy their time with us all the more. We are thrilled that this hard work and creativity is recognised through Awards, like the 2019 Bar of the Year Awards”.
The Panorama Bistro & Terrace has scooped numerous awards over the years, acknowledging its stunning setting, décor, service and bar staff members. The Panorama Bistro & Terrace beat off stiff competition in the category, with Dublin’s Dean Hotel Bar ‘Sophies’ coming second, and the Great Southern Killarney coming third in the Hotel Bar awards.
Commenting on the finalists, Katherine O’ Riordan, Event Director said “We are delighted to award the Panorama Bistro & Terrace at the Montenotte Hotel with this award acknowledged excellence. As locally produced spirits and craft beers continue to thrive in Ireland, it’s great to see bars being equally creative and innovative with the service they provide. These awards give us the chance to acknowledge the unique bars at the heart of cities and towns across Ireland.”
