Learn to Make Your Own Pizza At Killavullen Market
Come along to Killavullen Farmers Market on Saturday week 15th June to learn how to make your own pizza from scratch. The best news is that you will get to eat it too! We will show you how to make your own dough, roll it, cook the perfect base and make great toppings. We will use our wood fired oven. Cost is €5 per pizza! We will be there to help you all along the way! This is open to young and not so young so come along from 10.30am through to 1pm. Check out our facebook page for more information!
Of course all regular stall-holders will be there too as usual, so you will find everything you need for the weekend, all from local producers. One of the oldest farmers markets in Ireland, now into its 18th year, the regular Saturday market from 10:30a.m. until 1p.m. is in the grounds of the Nano Nagle Centre, on the main road between Castletownroche and Mallow with plenty of parking. The market is continually evolving and continues to surprise each week!
Regular stallholders have a range of products from locally grown vegetables all in season such as delicious veg, salads, handcrafted baked goods, breads, jams, chutneys and cordials. There is a fine selection of smoked salmon, fresh raw milk and yoghurts. There is also the always welcoming café will be open.
Killavullen farmers market is a great spot to pick up crafted goods including knitwear, kids toys and wood products. There is also a great selection of plants and flowers available. The second hand bookstore is a must for any reader. All books cost 50 Cent and donations of books are also gladly accepted.
