New Zealand Winegrowers will host its 21st anniversary tasting of New Zealand wines in Ireland in January next year.  To celebrate this landmark the event will be held at a new venue - The Aviva Stadium, home of international rugby in Ireland

Over 20 wineries will be represented at the Dublin show in 2018 with over 200 New Zealand wines available to taste.

In addition to the main tasting, there will be a masterclass led by Martin Moran, MW, on New Zealand Aromatic wine styles.  The masterclass will begin at 1pm and places are limited so please book in advance using the contact details below.

New Zealand wines are growing from strength to strength in Ireland.  In 2016 New Zealand sold 505,006 cases of wines on the Irish market, accounting for 5.6% of the total market of  9 million cases.   MAT figures to March 2017 from Nielsen Scantrack show that off trade sales of New Zealand wine increases by +6.04% in terms of value and by +0.6% in terms of volume sales.

The trade and press tasting on Thursday January 18th, 2018 will run from 2.00 – 6.00 p.m. with the consumer tasting following at the same venue from at 6.30 - 8.30 p.m.

Participating wineries for the 2018 New Zealand Winegrowers annual tasting include:  Akarua, Babich,  Blank Canvas,  Brancott Estate, Burn Cottage,  Cloudy Bay, Delta Vineyard,  Felton Road,  Giesen,  Greywacke, Kim Crawford, Kumeu River Wines,  Lawsons Dry Hills, Mount Riley,  Oyster Bay,  Rapaura Springs, Saint Clair Family Estate,   Spy Valley Wines, Stoneleigh,   te Pa Family Vineyards, Tinpot Hut, Trinity Hill,  Villa Maria, Wild Earth, Wither Hills, Yealands Family Wines with more expected to book..

To celebrate our 21st Anniversary in Dublin a tutored tasting for visitors will be held as part of the evening.  Martin Moran MW will take guests through a range of wines from across the country to show the quality and diversity New Zealand has to offer.  The masterclass will take place at 7:00 p.m and will last approximately 30 minutes allowing guests plenty of time to explore the rest of the exhibitors with new found knowledge!  There will be an additional charge of €5.00 to attend the Masterclass.
