The award winning Franciscan Well brewery will be launching their Winter Wonderland Christmas experience in their beer hall on North Mall, November 25th at 5pm.
The evening will see the start of their weekly Christmas markets which will take place every Saturday up until the 16th of December, running 1-6pm. ‘ We have 16 local artists involved, each one selling original handmade gifts, it’s important at this time of year to shop local’ Says Kate Clancy marketing manager.
Christmas vibes will be in full swing when the Kiltha Tones, a male voice choir, will sing before the turning on of the Christmas lights. This year the lights in the Well’s famous beer hall will be designed by Franc, Ireland’s no 1 designer, so it’s sure to be a spectacle.
For the month of the markets the Well has picked Helping Cork’s Homeless as their charity partner. All money raised will go to winter essentials for Cork’s homeless people. ‘ It’s hard not to want to help when so many people are now on the streets of Cork & the charity Helping Cork’s Homeless do a fantastic job on their own time’ Says Noel Finn, manager.
Dean, the Franciscan Well’s newest mixologist, will also be at hand on the night to give out hot Chieftain punches as well as hot ciders and mulled wines.
The team at the Franciscan Well have lots to offer this Christmas, a new Cocktail & Gin bar, Jameson Caskmates & Beer tastings, Tours, live music and of course Cork’s no 1 pizza, Pompeii pizza.
Admission is free and the evening is child friendly.
