The significance of the Irish Breakfast is on the menu for the forthcoming “Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards 2017” – In Association with Fáilte Ireland, a new and exciting event which was announced today, to be held at The InterContinental Hotel, Dublin on Wednesday 26th April 2017.
Representatives of the very best in Irish hospitality and Irish food will be notified across the island of Ireland over the next week of their achievements and will be invited to attend the “Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards 2017 – In Association with Fáilte Ireland at The InterContinental Hotel, Dublin later this month to receive their special commendations and awards for their excellent contribution to and delivery of The Irish Breakfast experience.
Speaking on the announcement of the hosting of the “2017 Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards” In Association with Fáilte Ireland Georgina Campbell said-
“I have never had any doubt about the importance of The Irish Breakfast and each year we have included a group of Irish Breakfast Awards within our annual hospitality Awards. Last autumn, however, I felt that they deserved more prominence and decided to re-launch them as an independent entity in order to shine a spotlight on the special role that breakfast plays in Irish hospitality.
By highlighting the best Irish breakfast experiences, we will not only lead visitors to the most enjoyable places to stay and to eat in Ireland but we will also encourage others to improve quality, standards and service to the benefit of all. I’m delighted that Fáilte Ireland are supporting the Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Awards 2017, and we look forward to working with them in the coming years. When well executed, and based on the best local Irish ingredients, The Irish Breakfast can be truly memorable.”
The first of its kind, these awards are specifically designed to highlight the importance of The Irish Breakfast to international visitors to Ireland and domestic travellers and aim to support the use of Irish foods and quality produce as part of the Irish breakfast on offer. The awards also serve to celebrate and promote Irish hospitality providers and Irish food producers who excel in their delivery of high quality produce and the Irish Breakfast experience.
Fáilte Ireland is delighted to support this event, which signals a collaborative effort aimed at reminding people of the important role the Irish breakfast plays in tourism. Speaking today, John Mulcahy, Head of Food Tourism with Fáilte Ireland said -
“A quality Irish breakfast is an intrinsic part of the visitor experience to Ireland and allows hospitality operators the opportunity to provide an authentic taste of the locality whether that be on the Wild Atlantic Way, in Irelands Ancient East or Dublin. The experience visitors have of food plays a pivotal part in determining their overall satisfaction with their holiday and we are delighted to partner with Georgina Campbell’s Irish Breakfast Awards to recognise the important role of the Irish breakfast in our tourism offering.”
Georgina Campbell’s Ireland independent hospitality guides, independent hospitality and travel website www.ireland-guide.com
and Ireland’s longest-running food and hospitality awards are highly respected by the Irish hospitality, food and tourism industry. Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Awards schemes are completely independent.
Unlike most other award schemes, there is no charge to establishments for recommendation or any element of the awards process. It is this independence which has earned them special respect in the industry, and public trust. Accolades from a respected independent guide are not only a source of encouragement - and very good for winners’ business - but also set a benchmark for others in the industry who are determined to achieve a similar level of excellence.
