the Bayview Hotel Launches ‘Banquet by the Bay’ Themed Event Series

If Ballycotton is the jewel in East Cork’s crown, then the stunning Bayview Hotel, perched on the ruggedly beautiful coastline in the middle of the charming fishing village, is undoubtedly a hidden gem. The 4-star manor house hotel has been a firm favourite with regular clients and visitors from abroad for over 20 years, providing the perfect setting for a luxurious and romantic getaway break. Open from April to October each year, the venue is also a popular choice among brides and grooms-to-be in search of something unique and intimate for their very special day.

The incomparable setting of this charming boutique hotel is something to behold, while the gourmet experience on offer is exceptional – so much so that the team at the Bayview are gearing up to unveil the many strings to their bow with a series of themed dining nights. Not content with remaining as a secret hideaway or hidden treasure, the hotel will be transformed for four nights over the course of the coming months, inviting visitors from far and wide to travel to Ballycotton in order to soak up the sights while enjoying drinks and dishes prepared with expert care at the Bayview Hotel.

The ‘Banquet by the Bay’ series of events kicks off in July with The Mackerel Run on 28th July. This exciting event will be a foodie’s paradise, with the freshest of seafood direct from Ballycotton’s pier on the menu, along with a drinks reception featuring Dingle Gin and Dingle Vodka.

Next up is the Sexy Seafood evening, which is sure to get a few pulses racing and palettes tingling! The Bayview’s chef extraordinaire Ciaran Scully will be on hand on the evening, cooking up a storm on the hotel terrace, again using the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients to delight and excite all diners in attendance. With each dish carefully paired with the perfect local craft beer, this event is sure to be a more luxurious and exclusive take on the run-of-the-mill ‘fish and chips by the pier’ date night!

The third event on the calendar will celebrate the amazing food, drink and music on offer in sunny Portugal. The evening will have a distinctly Mediterranean feel, with al fresco dining as the order of the night. The finest Portuguese wine will be paired with some of the country’s signature dishes, while the dinnertime music and the stunning coastal view will transport you directly to the sunny shores of Lisbon! 

With their sights set on finishing out the season with a bang, The Bayview Swing will be the most exciting event on the hotel’s calendar this year. This black tie, 1920s-themed event will combine decadence with fun in equal measure. From the champagne and oyster arrival reception right through to the mouth-watering menu and elegant dinnertime music, this is one party sure to give Gatsby a run for his money!

Tickets to each event are limited and with fabulous overnight offers also available, early booking is advised. Prices for each night are €65 per person for ticket only and €110 per person for ticket, bed and breakfast.
