Athula Fusion Foods Limited (www.athula.ie) is a multi-award-winning family business based in
Cork, Ireland.
This is an innovative enterprise, enhancing the potential of Ireland’s food industry, contributing to the
local economy through the creation of new jobs and opportunities in both the domestic and global markets.

“Fusion Foods” is an ethnic sauce and seasoning company.


Established in 2016, the founder and CEO of the company, Athula Kuruppu Achchige started his company,
building on 27 years of experience in food industry, including working as the Chief Chef in well-known
five-star hotels in Ireland. Athula is also working with the "Bord Bia Food Academy" program run by
the Local Enterprise Office and SuperValu. The company produces a range of sauces and marinades.
The products are now available in the Irish food retail market and being sold at SuperValu outlets within Cork city.   Athula’s Fusion Foods participated in the Musgrave Food Academy Programme, is now elevated to the National Academy Programme and recently received the Cork New Business Award 2017 And 2018.


Athula has a vision to expand the business further into the food servicing and catering industries.
Already, with varieties of sauces and base powders in the market, Athula hopes to bring more competitive
new products to the market. Having spent 2 years running a restaurant under the Peri Peri brand in Ireland,
he knows the consumer demand for Peri Peri sauce and related foods. Moving from this being a product that
had to be imported he know makes the sauces himself using his homegrown recipe which is he keen to share
with everyone. Product authenticity in terms of origin and ingredients are a hallmark. His ultimate goal
at the end of 3 years is to enter to EEA food market, creating jobs for people and contributing
to the local and national economy. This is his way of giving back to Ireland what Ireland has given to him
and his family.
